NSAIDs Alternative Recipes

Salad with Kale, Tomato, Broccoli Sprouts with Ginger-Turmeric Dressing
Ingredients For The Dressing:
- 1/2 cup oil oil
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1.5 tsp garlic
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1.5 inch fresh or ground turmeric
- 2 tbsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Ingredients For The Salad:
- 1 bunch of fresh kale, ribs and stems removed, torn into bite-sized pieces
- Two tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup broccoli sprouts
- 1/2 cup peanuts
To Prepare:
- Dressing: add all ingredients to a blender, blend
- Toss kale in a large bowl with half the dressing, massaging the kale to soften it slightly
- Add the onion and tomatoes and rest of the dressing
- Top with the broccoli sprouts and peanuts
- Enjoy!
Note: tomatoes and peanuts may be removed if lectin intolerant.
Honey Ginger Applesauce
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs of honeycrisp or gala apples, unpeeled, roughly chopped
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
To Prepare:
- Add all ingredients to the pressure cooker
- Cook on high pressure for 5 min, then turn off heat and natural release
- Open lid carefully, then blend with an immersion blender or mash with a potato masher
- Add additional honey to sweeten to taste
Banana Flour Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of carob chips or cocao nibs
- 3/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup banana flour
- 3/4 cup coconut oil
To Prepare:
- Combine the honey and coconut oil in a bowl
- Stir the banana flour and cocoa powder in another bowl
- Add the dry ingredients to the honey/coconut oil
- Add in and beat the eggs
- Pour the batter into greased (with coconut oil) baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350ºF.
